Optimum Teams Up with Bango to Launch New Streaming Bundles for Millions of U.S. Customers

Optimum, the telecommunications brand under Altice USA (NYSE: ATUS), is rolling out a new way for its customers to access streaming content, thanks to a partnership with Bango (AIM: BGO, OTCQX: BGOPF), a UK-based technology company specializing in digital content monetization. This collaboration leverages Bango’s Digital Vending Machine® (DVM™) platform, allowing Optimum’s roughly 4.5 million customers across 21 states to access bundled streaming services directly through their existing Optimum accounts.

The first offer available through this partnership gives eligible Optimum TV and Internet customers six months of complimentary access to two major streaming video on demand (SVOD) services Disney+ and Hulu Bundle Basic. Customers can sign up and manage these subscriptions directly through their Optimum bill, removing the need for separate accounts or payment methods. This bundled approach is designed to make it easier for users to try out new services and keep all their entertainment options under a single roof.

The launch marks Optimum’s initial use of the Bango DVM™, a platform already being adopted by companies in telecommunications, retail, and banking sectors to deliver digital services more efficiently. By integrating with DVM™, Optimum can quickly add more streaming partners and subscription services in the future, all accessible through a single integration point.

For Optimum, this move is part of a broader strategy to enhance its value proposition in a highly competitive market. With consumers increasingly seeking flexibility and convenience in how they access digital content, bundling popular streaming services directly with broadband and TV subscriptions helps Optimum stand out. It also positions the company to respond to shifting consumer preferences, especially as more households move away from traditional cable packages in favor of streaming options.

For customers, the main benefit is simplicity. Instead of juggling multiple streaming subscriptions, bills, and logins, Optimum users can manage everything through their existing account. The six-month complimentary period for Disney+ and Hulu Bundle Basic is likely to attract both new and existing customers, offering a risk-free way to explore new content.

Bango’s DVM™ platform is gaining traction as a tool for companies looking to expand their digital offerings. The platform allows partners to integrate once and then access a growing portfolio of premium subscription providers, making it easier to create and customize bundles that appeal to their customer base. Bango is already trusted by major global content providers such as Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, who rely on its technology to reach subscribers worldwide.

Anil Malhotra, Chief Marketing Officer at Bango, noted that the DVM™ empowers partners to innovate with subscription bundling and scale quickly, delivering offers that can boost customer satisfaction and business growth.

Optimum, operated by Altice USA, is one of the largest broadband communications and video services providers in the United States, serving both residential and business customers. The company also operates Optimum Media, which offers advertising solutions, and provides hyper-local news through its News 12 Networks.

Bango is a Cambridge-based technology firm that helps content providers reach more paying customers through global partnerships. Its Digital Vending Machine® is driving growth in the subscription economy, giving subscribers more choice and control over their digital content.

The current offer is just the beginning. Optimum has indicated that it plans to introduce additional streaming partners and consumer subscription services through its collaboration with Bango. This aligns with broader trends in the telecommunications industry, where providers are seeking new ways to add value and improve the customer experience in an increasingly crowded market.

While the financial details of the licensing agreement between Optimum and Bango have not been disclosed, the partnership represents a significant expansion for Bango into the U.S. telecommunications market and a fresh approach for Optimum in delivering digital content.
