Freegold Ventures Builds on Continuity at its Golden Summit Project

New drill results from Alaska are helping Freegold Ventures Limited (OTCQX: FGOVF) sharpen the picture at its Golden Summit project. The company reported a long intercept of 336.8 metres grading 1.32 g/t gold from 26.5 metres in hole GS2562, along with several narrower higher grade intervals, and that result fits into a broader effort to confirm continuity across the Dolphin, Cleary, and WOW areas rather than simply add more ounces to a very large system.

What stands out in this batch is the combination of width, location, and consistency. The GS2562 intercept begins near surface, sits in the northern part of Dolphin, and ends with mineralization still open at depth, which helps explain why the company continues to emphasize continuity along the Dolphin, Cleary, and WOW trend. Other holes in the same release support that picture: GS2561 returned 275.9 metres at 0.96 g/t gold from 208.2 metres, GS2601 cut 131 metres at 1.48 g/t gold in Cleary, and GS2603 added several narrower mineralized intervals, including 13.8 metres at 1.99 g/t gold.

The point here is not simply that there are isolated high-grade hits, though those are present, including 28.58 g/t gold over 3.1 metres and 142.1 g/t gold over 3.1 metres in GS2601. The more important takeaway for a general business reader is that the company is trying to define which parts of a large deposit may be practical to develop first, and these results appear to support that narrower and more technical goal. Freegold says higher grade corridors have now been traced for more than 1.5 kilometres across an approximate width of 100 metres to 300 metres, with the Cleary Road Cut Shear interpreted as a principal controlling fault.

That matters because Golden Summit is entering a different phase of development. According to the company, the 2026 drilling program is designed to support an updated mineral resource estimate and a 2027 pre-feasibility study, with six drilling rigs active at site. The work is focused on confirming grade continuity, improving geological confidence, evaluating metallurgy, supporting pit design, and defining water management requirements, which is a more disciplined approach than pure exploration drilling.

The project itself is already substantial. Golden Summit is about a 30 minute drive from Fairbanks, Alaska. The company notes that an updated mineral resource estimate was released in July 2025 after roughly 39,650 metres of drilling completed in 2025. The company also states that the 2027 pre-feasibility study is expected to look at a smaller portion of the resource that could support an initial starter pit, instead of attempting to capture the entire deposit in a single development concept.

That shift in emphasis is worth noting because it changes how new drill results should be read. A broad intercept such as 336.8 metres at 1.32 g/t gold is meaningful on its own, but in this context it is also part of a wider exercise in reducing uncertainty, refining geometry, and identifying where an eventual mine plan might logically begin. The same release outlines parallel engineering, hydrogeology, geotechnical, and environmental work, including pit slope design studies by Tetra Tech Canada Inc. and continuing baseline work by Stantec.

Golden Summit’s published resource base gives some scale to that work. As of July 2025, the project hosted an indicated primary mineral resource of 17.2 million ounces grading 1.24 g/t gold and an inferred primary mineral resource of 11.9 million ounces grading 1.04 g/t gold, using a 0.5 g/t cut off grade and a gold price of $2,490. Those figures help explain why current drilling is being presented as a confidence building exercise within an already large system, not as an early stage discovery story.

Taken together, the latest results suggest that Freegold is doing the slower and often more important work of turning a large mineralized trend into a more defined development case. The intersections reported from Dolphin, Cleary, and WOW do not read like a single headline driven event, instead they show a project being narrowed, tested, and organized around the practical questions that come before a pre-feasibility study.
