Torr Metals Inc. (TSX-V: TMET.V) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gordon Maxwell, P.Geo, to its Board of Directors. Mr. Maxwell, a highly respected geologist with an Honours B.Sc. from the University of Manitoba, brings nearly 40 years of global mining experience to the role. His career includes key leadership positions such as Exploration Manager at Noranda Exploration and Xstrata, and most recently, Exploration and Business Development Manager at Glencore.
Mr. Maxwell’s significant contributions to the Canadian mining industry have earned him numerous accolades, including the David Barr Award from AME BC for Health and Safety in 2012 and the PDAC Skookum Jim Award in 2019, recognizing his exceptional contributions as a member of the Indigenous community.
In addition to his board role at PDAC, Mr. Maxwell is actively involved in several committees, including Health and Safety, Geoscience and Innovation, and Aboriginal Affairs. He also serves as an advisor to the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Mining & Exploration, supporting research, education, and outreach in the mining sector.

The Company has also granted Mr. Maxwell incentive stock options, allowing him to purchase 200,000 common shares at a price of $0.10 per share for a period of five years, in accordance with applicable legislation and TSX Venture Exchange policies.
