Hyzon Motors Appoints New Head of Global Communications and Branding

Hyzon Motors, a prominent player in hydrogen fuel cell technology and zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles, has appointed Stephanie Mudgett as its Head of Global Communications and Branding. This strategic appointment underscores Hyzon’s commitment to effectively communicate its technological advancements and commercialization efforts in the rapidly evolving clean energy sector.

 

In her new role, Mudgett will oversee all communication functions at Hyzon Motors, including branding, marketing, internal and external messaging, and corporate reputation management. Her extensive experience in strategic communications and branding, coupled with her track record of success, positions her well to elevate Hyzon’s global presence and enhance stakeholder engagement.

 

Mudgett’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Hyzon as the company gears up to achieve significant milestones in 2024. These milestones include the Start of Production (SOP) for the 200kW fuel cell system and the delivery of the first 200kW FCEVs into trial. Mudgett’s leadership will play a crucial role in effectively communicating these achievements and driving awareness of Hyzon’s innovative solutions.

 

With over 35 years of experience in communications, branding, and public relations, Mudgett brings a wealth of industry knowledge to her new role at Hyzon. Her tenure at The Boeing Company, where she led global communications and branding efforts for airplane programs and executive communications, underscores her expertise in managing complex communication initiatives within the manufacturing and technology sectors.

 

While assuming her role at Hyzon, Mudgett will continue to serve as Vice President of Communications for global investment firm WestRiver Group (WRG), managing executive communications and public relations for WRG and its portfolio companies. Additionally, she will maintain her position as a senior consultant at Fearey, providing strategic advice to clients across various industries.

 

Mudgett’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from Western Washington University, with advanced studies at Cornell University. Her leadership role at Hyzon is facilitated through a contractual agreement with her firm, Easton Communications, highlighting the collaborative nature of her engagement with the company.

 

At the time of this reporting, Hyzon Motors Inc. (HYZN) has witnessed a decline in its stock value, with shares trading at $0.7505, reflecting a decrease of 3.36%. Despite this short-term fluctuation, Mudgett’s appointment signals a strategic move by Hyzon Motors to reinforce its communications and branding efforts and drive long-term value creation in the clean energy market.
