Telekom Deutschland and Compax Join Forces to Accelerate Digital Telco Evolution

Telekom Deutschland (OTCQX: DTEGY) has selected Compax as its technology partner to develop and implement a comprehensive “Telco as a Service” (TaaS) platform, marking a significant step in its digital transformation and expansion strategy. The partnership follows a thorough vendor selection process and leverages Compax’s extensive BSS/OSS (Business Support Systems/Operations Support Systems) solution portfolio to enable Telekom Deutschland’s new market entry model.

The TaaS platform is designed to enhance Telekom Deutschland’s infrastructure to support collaborations with Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs). As a Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE), Telekom Deutschland aims to empower brands to offer connectivity services through this platform, creating new growth opportunities in the digital services market.

The platform’s scope is broad, covering online charging, network components, mobile core integration, and both wholesale and retail BSS functionalities. This comprehensive approach ensures a fully enabled go-to-market capability for Telekom Deutschland and its partners.

Beyond technology implementation, Compax will provide fully managed services that include platform operation and business support for MVNOs, as well as retail and wholesale brands. This end-to-end service offering is intended to streamline operations and accelerate time-to-market for new digital service providers leveraging Telekom Deutschland’s network.

Leopold Kojeder, CEO of Compax, highlighted the long-standing relationship between the two companies, noting that Compax has been involved in various Deutsche Telekom projects for over 15 years. He emphasized the transformative potential of the TaaS platform and Compax’s commitment to contributing to its success.

Anna Hinken, Senior Vice President of Mobile Wholesale at Telekom Deutschland, described the launch of the TaaS platform as a critical element in the company’s vision to become a truly digital telecommunications provider. She expressed confidence that Compax is the right technology partner to help Telekom Deutschland tap into the expanding market for companies seeking to offer extended digital services.

Telekom Deutschland’s TaaS platform initiative is timely, positioning the company to capitalize on these emerging trends by offering flexible, scalable solutions that support new business models and digital ecosystems.

Telekom Deutschland’s collaboration with Compax to launch the Telco as a Service platform represents a strategic investment in digital infrastructure and service innovation.
